The President is Missing

Overall Rating: LOVED it! ❤️

I’ve never read a James Patterson novel that I didn’t like; so it goes without saying that I had my eyes on this book since the moment I heard it was coming out. I’m not one to pre-order books but I came close with this one, and to be honest I wish I had because it was that good!

Nikaleigh’s Synopsis:

The American people live blissfully unaware of the threats that loom on their front steps – and the price for that fortune sits on the President’s shoulders.

When a crisis arises that threatens to turn America into the world’s largest third-world country, the President is forced to meet with the people holding his country hostage unprotected; and for three days the American people don’t know where he is.

Nikaleigh’s Thoughts:

The President is Missing was 528 pages of pure suspense, and with the possible reality of the story’s plot, you’ll find yourself questioning your own day-to-day routine. Days later my mind is still racing with the possibilities and the what-ifs that this book brings to light.

Looking over reviews on Goodreads, you’ll find a lot of people who seemed to pick-up this book with a bias over Clinton being a contributing author. Being 28, I scarcely remember the Clinton presidency and my only real adult impression of Bill Clinton was the childlike joy on his face when the balloons dropped after Hillary won the Democratic nomination. (one of my all-time favorite memes)  I’m happy to say that my political naïveté actually paid off for once because I was able to read the novel, with an appreciation for the insight and level of authenticity only a former president could provide.

With the incomparable talent of James Patterson and the unique insight of a former president, The President is Missing will leave you on the edge of your seat. Its addicting realism is sure to make this a novel that you will not want to put down.
